Where the call gets lost.

The moments a pool services business misses the phone, and what each one costs.

Opening season is three weeks of missed calls

From the first warm week of April every customer wants their cover off the same weekend. Your techs are on route, you are behind a filter pad with a wet phone, and the new-customer calls ring out. Each one is a season of weekly service, not a single visit, and they book with whoever picks up.

The green pool calls on Thursday for Saturday

A homeowner lifts the cover two days before a graduation party and finds a swamp. They call every company in the county until someone says yes. A green-to-clean is a good ticket and often turns into a route customer. Voicemail means they never hear you say yes, and never find out you had Friday open.

Repair calls arrive while the route is running

A pump that will not prime, a heater that trips, a salt cell alarm, a leak dropping an inch a day. Repair calls come in all afternoon while the route tech is skimming a backyard with a phone in the truck. Missed repair calls cost more than the repair. They are how a route customer becomes someone else's.

What Ansurra does on the call.

The receptionist, in pool services terms.

Openings, closings and repairs on the calendar

Ansurra books the one-off visits that carry a pool season: the spring opening, the fall closing, the green-to-clean, the heater or pump repair. It offers only slots that are truly open on your calendar and books them during the call, then emails the customer a confirmation and a reminder the day before. When the opening calendar is full, it offers a waitlist spot.

Weekly route stops as a repeating series

New route customers do not want one appointment, they want every Tuesday. Ansurra supports repeat visits, so a weekly or biweekly service stop can be set up as a recurring series on the calendar in the same call. The customer gets a confirmation email. When they call back to skip a week for a vacation, it recognizes them by caller ID and adjusts the schedule.

Prices only from the list you wrote

Pool pricing is set-price for some things and quote-after-inspection for others. Put your opening and closing price, your weekly rate by pool size and your service call fee on the list, and Ansurra quotes them word for word. For a heater replacement or a leak, it says the price comes after a tech sees the equipment, exactly as your list says.

What the tech needs before pulling up

Every call collects the fields you choose: in-ground or above-ground, roughly how many gallons, chlorine or salt, whether the pump is running, gate code and dog in the yard, address and callback number. Calls are recorded, transcribed and summarized, and each lead is scored so the whole-season route sign-up sits above the single skimmer basket question.

A call, start to finish.

Sample call · Heron Cove Pool Care
CallerHi, I took the cover off this morning and the pool is completely green. We have people coming Saturday.
AnsurraThat's a tight window, let's see what we can do. Is it an in-ground pool, and do you know roughly how many gallons?
CallerIn-ground, about eighteen thousand gallons. The pump seems to run fine.
AnsurraGood, a running pump helps. From our price list, a green-to-clean starts at three hundred fifty dollars and depends on how far gone the water is. The first open slot on the calendar is tomorrow at eight thirty in the morning. Should I book it?
CallerYes, please. Will it be swimmable by Saturday?
AnsurraThe tech will tell you on site once he tests the water; I don't want to promise something he hasn't seen. Can I get your address and a gate code if there is one?
CallerFour forty Lakeshore Drive, no gate, but there's a dog. I'll keep him inside.
AnsurraNoted, dog inside. You're booked for eight thirty tomorrow at four forty Lakeshore Drive, and a confirmation email is on the way.

Ansurra vs. what you use today.

Voicemail, an answering service, a person at the desk: what each still does better, and what it costs.

Instead of voicemail on the route phone

Pool customers are impatient in a very specific way: the party is Saturday and the water is green today. Voicemail asks them to wait. Ansurra answers, quotes the green-to-clean from your list, and books Friday while the caller is on the line. The route runs, the phone is answered, and you hear the recording later.

Instead of a message-taking service

A traditional answering service will politely take a name and a number about a pump that will not prime. It cannot see your calendar or your price list, so the customer waits for a callback and calls the next company while waiting. Ansurra books the repair itself. A live operator still handles a furious customer over a cloudy pool more gracefully; Ansurra hands those calls to you.

Instead of a seasonal office hire

Pool companies staff up in April and let go in October, and the person answering in May is often brand new. Ansurra knows your services and prices from day one, works the same on a Sunday in July as a Tuesday in March, and costs less each month than a single day of seasonal wages. Keep it running in the off-season for the heater calls.

How it works.

01

Paste your website

Ansurra reads your services, hours and service area and drafts its own knowledge. Add your price list if you want it quoting.

02

Forward your number

One dial code at your carrier — every call, or only the ones you miss. You keep the number your customers know.

03

It answers

From the next ring: it books on your calendar, emails confirmations, transfers emergencies to your cell and sends you every detail.

Pool Services, answered.

Can it set up a weekly service customer, not just one visit?

Yes. Ansurra supports repeat visits, so a new route customer can be booked as a recurring weekly or biweekly series on your calendar during the first call. It collects pool type, size, sanitizer, gate code and pets so the tech arrives ready. Skipping a week or cancelling the series is handled the same way, by phone, with the customer recognized by caller ID.

How does it handle opening and closing season?

It books openings and closings into whatever slots are actually open on your calendar, and when the popular weekends fill it offers a waitlist spot rather than turning callers away. Customers get an email confirmation and a reminder about a day before. If you charge a set price for an opening, put it on the list and Ansurra quotes it exactly.

Will it quote a green-to-clean or a heater repair?

Only in the words on your price list. Many companies list a starting price for a green-to-clean and note that it depends on the water. Ansurra says that, then books the visit. For repairs such as heaters, pumps and leaks, it tells the caller the price comes after a tech inspects the equipment. It does not invent numbers.

What about a customer who says their pool is losing water fast?

You define what counts as urgent. A leak dropping the water below the skimmer, or a pump running dry, can be set as an urgent call that transfers to your cell, straight through or with a one-line briefing first. Outside your hours it takes the details, emails them to you and offers the first open slot on the calendar.

We only run a few months a year. Is there a contract?

No contracts, and you can cancel anytime. Starter is $29 a month for 60 talk minutes, Growth is $49 for 180 minutes, and Pro is $99 for 400 minutes with up to four numbers. Many pool companies run Growth through the season and drop to Starter for the winter. The free trial gives you 20 talk minutes with no card required.

Do we keep the number customers already have on their fridge?

Yes. Your carrier forwards calls to Ansurra with one dial code, and you choose whether to forward everything or only the calls you do not pick up in a few rings. The number on the truck, the invoices and the fridge magnet stays exactly the same. Switch it off the same way in the off-season if you like.

Put it on your phones.
