An answering service for plumbing companies that books the job, not the callback
A burst pipe does not leave a voicemail. Ansurra answers every plumbing call in a human voice, sorts the flooding basement from the dripping faucet, gets the emergency to your cell and puts the water heater swap on your calendar while the caller is still on the line.

Where the call gets lost.
The moments a plumbing business misses the phone, and what each one costs.
You are under a sink when the big one rings
The calls that pay best come at the worst moments. A slab leak, a sewer backup on a Sunday, a water heater that let go overnight. You are elbow-deep in a P-trap or sweating a joint with a torch in one hand, and the phone buzzes in a pocket you cannot reach. Two rings later that homeowner is talking to a competitor's dispatcher, and they are not calling back.
Winter fills the phone faster than the schedule
The first hard freeze brings frozen lines and split copper all at once, and every plumber in town is booked by nine. Callers who get a person will wait for Tuesday. The ones who get a machine keep dialing until someone answers. Who picked up during the rush, not who has the better trucks, is the difference between a full week and a half-empty one.
Quotes over the phone come back to bite you
Every plumber has been burned by a number given in a hurry. A caller hears a price for a faucet swap, the tech finds corroded shutoffs and galvanized supply lines, and the invoice becomes an argument. Yet refusing to say anything about price loses the caller too. You need a set answer for the simple jobs and a firm line at everything else.
What Ansurra does on the call.
The receptionist, in plumbing terms.
Active water gets to you now
Tell Ansurra what counts as an emergency for your shop: active leaks, no water, sewage backing up, a gas smell. Those calls are transferred to your cell while the caller stays on the line. With a warm handoff you hear a one-line briefing first, then the caller. If you are under a house and cannot take it, Ansurra collects the address and the problem and emails you the message right away.
Water heaters and remodels go on the calendar live
A tank replacement, a toilet rebuild, a dishwasher hookup, a shower valve. Ansurra opens your real calendar during the call and offers only times that are open, then confirms by email and sends a reminder the day before. If the week is full, it offers a waitlist place and lets the caller know when a cancellation frees a slot. It books from what is actually open, so it does not guess.
Your price list is the only price it knows
Put your service call fee, your drain clearing price and your water heater range on the list and Ansurra quotes them exactly as written. Anything not on the list gets the answer you would give: the tech prices it after looking. It never rounds, never estimates and never repeats a number a caller heard elsewhere, so the quote on the phone and the quote on the truck match.
It collects what the tech needs before rolling
Address and gate code. Where the water is coming from and whether the main is shut off. Gas or electric water heater, and the age if they know it. Septic or city sewer. Homeowner or tenant, and who approves the work. You choose the fields, Ansurra asks them in plain conversation, and the summary lands in your dashboard and inbox before the truck starts.
A call, start to finish.
How a call to Copperline Plumbing — a fictional business — plays out. The receptionist only offers times its calendar shows free and only quotes what the owner's price list says.
Ansurra vs. what you use today.
Voicemail, an answering service, a person at the desk: what each still does better, and what it costs.
Voicemail
Nobody with water on the floor leaves a message. Voicemail is free, and it costs you the emergencies, which are the highest-margin calls a plumbing shop gets. Ansurra answers in a human voice, sorts urgent from routine, and either connects the caller to you or books the job. If you already answer every ring, keep doing that. This is for the rings you cannot take.
A traditional answering service
A live operator will pick up, but they read a script, take a message and page you. They cannot see your calendar, so every booking becomes a callback you make from the truck, and most operators could not tell a hose bib from a hub. Ansurra books the slot during the call and quotes from your list. An operator is still better at calming a furious customer disputing a bill, and some callers simply want a person.
A front-desk hire
An office manager who knows plumbing is worth every dollar once you run several trucks. For a one- or two-truck shop, that salary covers forty hours a week and none of the nights when pipes burst. Ansurra runs around the clock from twenty-nine dollars a month, learned your services from your website in a couple of minutes, and does not call in sick during a cold snap.
How it works.
Paste your website
Ansurra reads your services, hours and service area and drafts its own knowledge. Add your price list if you want it quoting.
Forward your number
One dial code at your carrier — every call, or only the ones you miss. You keep the number your customers know.
It answers
From the next ring: it books on your calendar, emails confirmations, transfers emergencies to your cell and sends you every detail.
Plumbing, answered.
Can it tell an emergency from a routine call?
You set the rules. A typical setup marks active leaks, no water, sewage backups and gas smells as urgent. Those go straight to your cell, with an optional one-line briefing before the caller is connected. Everything else, from a running toilet to a remodel rough-in, is booked into the next open slot on your calendar. If you miss the urgent transfer, the details are emailed to you immediately.
Will it tell a caller to shut off their water?
Ansurra can ask whether the main or the fixture shutoff is closed, because that is one of the details you want before dispatching. It does not walk callers through repairs or diagnose over the phone. Instead it gathers the address, the symptom and the callback number, and gets the call to you or onto the calendar. The plumbing stays with the plumber.
Can it book recurring work like backflow tests or maintenance plans?
Yes. Annual backflow testing, water heater flushes and maintenance-plan visits can be booked as repeat appointments on your calendar, and each visit gets its own confirmation email and reminder. When a customer on a plan calls back, Ansurra recognizes the number and greets them by name with their history, so they are not asked to spell their address for the fourth year running.
I run two trucks and one number. Do I need a bigger plan?
Minutes matter more than numbers. A two-truck shop taking thirty to fifty calls a week often fits Growth at $49 a month for 180 talk minutes. Pro at $99 gives 400 minutes and up to four numbers if you want a separate line for commercial accounts. Overage is $0.35 a minute, and you can move between plans any time without a contract.
My Spanish-speaking customers call in Spanish. Does that work?
Yes. Ansurra speaks more than sixty languages and switches to the caller's language automatically, including partway through a call if a family member takes the phone. The booking, the price-list rule and the emergency transfer work the same in every language. Your dashboard summary and the lead score come to you in English.
How long does setup take if I have a website?
About two minutes. Paste your website address and Ansurra reads your services, hours, service area and FAQs and builds its own knowledge from them. You review it, add your price list and your emergency rules, then forward your phone with one dial code from your carrier. No website means you start from the plumbing template and fill in your details instead.
