Forwarding does not change your number and does not port anything. It tells your carrier's network where to send a call under a condition you choose: every call, or only the ones you do not answer, or only when your line is busy. It is switched on with a short code dialed from the phone itself, and switched off the same way, usually in under a minute.
Two ways to forward
- Forward every call (unconditional). Your phone stops ringing; the other number takes everything. Use it when you want the interruptions gone.
- Forward when unanswered or busy (conditional). Your phone rings first, exactly as today. Only when you are on another call or do not pick up within a few rings does the call roll to the other number instead of voicemail. Use it when you like answering yourself and want a net under the calls you miss.
In the codes below, [number] is the ten-digit destination number with no spaces, for example **21*2125550123#. Dial it, press Call, and wait for the confirmation tone or message before hanging up. Every code was read from the carrier's own support page on 2026-09-02; carriers change these occasionally, so if your carrier's page disagrees with this one, the carrier wins, and we would like to know: hello@ansurra.com.
