A restoration answering service for the two a.m. burst pipe
A homeowner standing in two inches of water is calling everyone on the first page of results. The company that answers, sounds competent and gets a technician on the line wins the mitigation job. Ansurra answers every call, takes the loss details, and puts your on-call tech on the line when the water is running.

Where the call gets lost.
The moments a restoration business misses the phone, and what each one costs.
The loss happens at the hour nobody is at a desk
Supply lines burst at two in the morning. Sump pumps fail during the storm, not after it. A kitchen fire is discovered at dinner. The homeowner, or the adjuster, or the property manager calls right then, and a phone that rings out sends a mitigation job, a rebuild and a referral relationship to whichever competitor picked up.
Your project manager is behind containment
During a mold remediation or a Category 3 water job, the person who knows the schedule is inside the containment with a respirator on. Crews are running air movers and dehumidifiers across three sites. The office manager is on with an adjuster about a supplement. A new-loss call at eleven in the morning has nobody free to take it, and it does not wait.
Storm weeks bring the calls in a wall
After a freeze, a hurricane or a hailstorm, every restoration line in the county rings at once for three days. Each unanswered call is a homeowner who will sign with the first company to show up. In quiet months, a single missed sewage backup or a small commercial water loss is a large piece of the month's revenue, and there is no storm coming to replace it.
What Ansurra does on the call.
The receptionist, in restoration terms.
Loss intake the way your job file needs it
Ansurra asks the first questions your technician would: property address, type of loss (water, fire, smoke, mold, sewage, storm), the source and whether it is stopped, how many rooms or floors are affected, when it started, whether the property is occupied, and whether a claim is being filed and with whom. You define the fields. It all lands in the summary and can post to your job software through Zapier or a webhook.
Active losses reach your on-call tech
A burst pipe still running is not a message. Ansurra transfers the caller to your on-call cell, straight through or warm with a one-line briefing: occupied home in Dedham, supply line failed upstairs, water through the ceiling, source is shut off. If the tech cannot pick up, it takes the complete details and emails them, and the caller has heard a calm, competent voice instead of a beep.
Inspections, estimates and follow-up visits on the calendar
Not every call is an emergency. A homeowner who found mold behind a vanity, a landlord planning a rebuild after a small fire, or an adjuster requesting a re-inspection gets booked in a real open slot on your Google Calendar or Cal.com. Confirmations and reminders go out by email. Recurring monitoring visits during a dry-down can be booked as a series in one call.
No guessed prices, no coverage promises
Restoration pricing depends on scope and often on the carrier. Ansurra quotes only what is on your price list, word for word, a service call or an inspection fee if you charge one, and otherwise says pricing follows the on-site assessment. Coverage questions and claim advice are left to the adjuster and your professionals; Ansurra takes the details and books the visit.
A call, start to finish.
How a call to Northbridge Restoration — a fictional business — plays out. The receptionist only offers times its calendar shows free and only quotes what the owner's price list says.
Ansurra vs. what you use today.
Voicemail, an answering service, a person at the desk: what each still does better, and what it costs.
The homeowner does not leave a message about a flood
They hang up and call the next company, because water is still spreading and a beep offers nothing. Ansurra answers in a natural voice, takes the loss details, and connects your on-call tech or emails the full report. Every call is recorded and summarized, and the lead is scored with reasons, so the morning review takes minutes instead of an hour of callbacks.
A traditional answering service takes a message and pages you
Human services handle restoration lines today, and they do one thing well: a calm human voice, which some callers prefer. They cannot see your calendar, so inspections still need a callback, and they rarely know your intake questions. Ansurra books live and asks your questions every time. For a distraught homeowner mid-dispute with a carrier, a person is still the better call.
An overnight dispatcher is paid for the quiet nights
Restoration calls arrive in storms and silences. Staffing the phone around the clock means paying for the weeks nothing happens. Ansurra costs from twenty-nine dollars a month, takes several calls at once when the freeze hits, and hands the urgent ones to a human on your team. Your office manager keeps the adjuster calls. Ansurra takes the rest of them.
How it works.
Paste your website
Ansurra reads your services, hours and service area and drafts its own knowledge. Add your price list if you want it quoting.
Forward your number
One dial code at your carrier — every call, or only the ones you miss. You keep the number your customers know.
It answers
From the next ring: it books on your calendar, emails confirmations, transfers emergencies to your cell and sends you every detail.
Restoration, answered.
Does it handle adjusters and property managers differently from homeowners?
It asks who is calling and their role, then collects what that caller has: a homeowner gives the loss details and whether a claim is being filed; an adjuster gives the claim number, carrier and the insured's contact; a property manager gives the unit and access. You define those fields. Returning adjusters and managers are recognized by caller ID and greeted by name.
Will it tell a caller whether insurance covers their loss?
No. Ansurra never discusses coverage, deductibles or what a carrier will approve, and it never gives advice about a claim. It says those questions are for the adjuster and your project manager, takes the details, and books the inspection or transfers the call. Anything it is asked about coverage is noted in the summary so you can address it on the callback.
How does it know which calls to transfer at night?
You set the rules in its knowledge, and it follows them. Most restoration companies transfer active water, sewage and fire losses to the on-call cell, and book mold inquiries and rebuild estimates into the next open slot. It does not diagnose. If the caller says water is coming in now, it transfers, straight through or with a one-line briefing; if the tech does not pick up, it emails the full details.
Can it schedule the daily monitoring visits during a dry-down?
Yes. Repeat and recurring visits are supported, so a three-day moisture check series or a weekly progress meeting on a rebuild can be booked as one set of appointments on your Google Calendar or Cal.com. Each visit gets its own email confirmation and reminder, and cancelling or moving one of them does not disturb the rest of the series.
Our office answers during the day. Can it cover nights and weekends only?
Yes. Your carrier forwards to Ansurra with one dial code. Set it to busy and no-answer and the office takes what it can, with Ansurra catching the second line and everything after closing. Or dial the forward-all code when the last person leaves and the cancel code in the morning. Either way you keep your number, and the caller never hears a beep.
What does it cost for a company running two or three crews?
Starter is $29/mo for 60 talk minutes, Growth $49/mo for 180, Pro $99/mo for 400 with up to 4 numbers, and Scale $299/mo for 1,000 with up to 7. Overage is $0.35 a minute, $0.25 on Scale. A company with an after-hours line and a main office number will usually land on Pro. Yearly billing is one month free, there is a 20-minute free trial with no card, a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment, and no contract.
