Your insurance agency's AI receptionist for quotes, claims and renewal calls
Independent agencies live on the phone: a homeowner who just got a nonrenewal notice, a contractor who needs a certificate by noon, a new driver's parent shopping rates. Ansurra answers all of them, takes the details a quote needs, books the review on your calendar and gets claim callers to a person fast.

Where the call gets lost.
The moments a insurance agencies business misses the phone, and what each one costs.
The quote shopper buys from whoever answered
Rate shopping is a same-afternoon decision. A family whose auto premium jumped at renewal calls down the list, and the first agency that picks up and starts gathering VINs and drivers wins the household: auto, home, umbrella, eventually the teenager's car. Your producer is out at a commercial client's shop doing a walkthrough, and the call rolls to voicemail.
Claims happen on weekends
Hail comes through on Saturday. The kitchen fire is at eleven at night. Someone rear-ends your client on the drive home Friday. Their first instinct is to call the agent who sold them the policy, not the carrier's claims line, and when that call hits voicemail they feel abandoned at the exact moment the relationship is tested. That is the call that decides whether they renew.
Service calls bury the CSR who should be cross-selling
Certificates of insurance, lienholder changes, adding a vehicle, a mortgage company asking for a declarations page: the service desk spends its day on calls that have to be answered but earn nothing new. Meanwhile the renewal review that would have added an umbrella policy never gets scheduled, because the person who would book it is on hold with a carrier.
What Ansurra does on the call.
The receptionist, in insurance agencies terms.
Quote requests captured in full, the first time
You decide what a quote call collects. For personal lines that might be name, callback number, ZIP code, the vehicles and drivers in the household, current carrier and renewal date; for a commercial call, the type of operation, number of employees and whether they need a certificate soon. Ansurra asks in plain conversation and emails you the summary, so the producer calls back ready to run the quote instead of starting the interview.
Claims get a person, not a menu
A client calling about a loss is recognized by caller ID and greeted by name. Ansurra takes the essentials, what happened, when, whether anyone is hurt and whether the property is secure, then follows your rule: transfer live to the agent's cell, warm transfer with a one-line briefing so you pick up knowing whose roof it is, or take a detailed message and email it immediately. It does not interpret coverage.
Renewal reviews on the calendar, not on a sticky note
Ansurra books annual reviews, new-policy signings and commercial walkthroughs on the agent's calendar during the call, offering only times that are open. Confirmation goes to the client by email, then a reminder about a day before, so the review happens. A commercial client who wants a quarterly check-in can be set up as a repeating appointment. If the agent's week is full, the caller is offered a waitlist spot and told when a slot opens.
Premiums are never guessed
Ansurra does not invent a premium, because no agency can rate one over the phone without running it. What it can say is exactly what your price list says: a broker fee, a minimum policy for a line, or that quotes are prepared by a licensed agent after the details are gathered. Coverage questions, whether flood is included or what a deductible means for a claim, are noted for the agent, not answered.
A call, start to finish.
How a call to Brightwater Insurance Group — a fictional business — plays out. The receptionist only offers times its calendar shows free and only quotes what the owner's price list says.
Ansurra vs. what you use today.
Voicemail, an answering service, a person at the desk: what each still does better, and what it costs.
Against voicemail and the carrier's 800 number
When your office is closed, clients either leave a voicemail or give up and dial the carrier directly, where they become a claim number and you become a name on a policy. Ansurra keeps them talking to your agency: greeted by name, details taken, you reached if it is urgent. The transcript is in your inbox before you have finished your coffee.
Against a traditional answering service
A human answering service can be genuinely good on a distraught claims call; an experienced operator hears panic and knows to escalate. Ansurra escalates on the rules you write instead. Where the service falls short is everything else: it cannot see your calendar to book the review, it charges by the minute, and its operators do not know your agency from the dentist they answered for a moment ago. Ansurra knows your lines, your hours and your producers.
Against adding another CSR
A licensed CSR is worth every dollar for the work that needs a license: binding, endorsements, explaining coverage. Answering the phone is not that work. Ansurra takes the first contact, the after-hours line and the overflow while your CSRs do the service and cross-selling only they can do. For an agency with two or three staff, it is usually the difference between a phone that gets answered and one that does not.
How it works.
Paste your website
Ansurra reads your services, hours and service area and drafts its own knowledge. Add your price list if you want it quoting.
Forward your number
One dial code at your carrier — every call, or only the ones you miss. You keep the number your customers know.
It answers
From the next ring: it books on your calendar, emails confirmations, transfers emergencies to your cell and sends you every detail.
Insurance Agencies, answered.
Can it bind coverage or make policy changes?
No. Binding, endorsements and coverage decisions need a licensed person, and Ansurra does not pretend otherwise. It takes the request, adding a vehicle, changing a lienholder, asking for a certificate, along with the details, and emails it to your service desk or pushes it to your agency management system through a webhook. Your team makes the change and confirms it.
What does it do when a client calls about a claim at 2 AM?
It answers, recognizes them if they are calling from a number on file, and gathers what happened, when, whether anyone is injured and whether the home or vehicle is secure. Then it does what you decided in advance: transfer straight to the on-call agent's cell, warm transfer with a spoken briefing, or take a detailed message and email it immediately. You can give it the carrier's claims number to read out if you want clients to have it.
Will it try to quote premiums?
Only what your price list says, word for word. Most agencies list no premiums at all and tell Ansurra to say that quotes come from a licensed agent after the details are gathered, which is the truth. It will not estimate, compare carriers or suggest what a rate might be. Fees you do publish, such as a broker fee, it states exactly.
Does it work for a Spanish-speaking clientele?
Yes. Ansurra speaks more than sixty languages and switches to the caller's language automatically, including mid-call if a family member takes the phone. The call is transcribed, recorded and summarized like any other, so the producer sees exactly what was asked and which details were collected before calling back.
We have three producers with their own lines. Do we need three accounts?
No. The Pro plan at $99 a month covers up to 4 numbers, and Scale at $299 covers up to 7, so each producer's direct line can forward to the same receptionist, which books on the calendar you connect. Talk minutes are shared across the agency: Pro includes 400 a month, Scale 1,000, with overage at $0.35 a minute on Pro and $0.25 on Scale.
How do we forward the office line without losing it?
You keep your number. Your carrier forwards calls with one dial code, either all calls or only when the line is busy or unanswered. Many agencies choose busy-and-no-answer forwarding during the day so CSRs pick up first and Ansurra catches the rest, then switch to all calls at closing. Setup is about two minutes from your website; there is no contract, and the first payment carries a 14-day money-back guarantee.
